Play an entire catagory or artist

I am expecting to get jumped on for this one, but I have been through the docs and obviously missed it. When I try and play an Artist, Album, 'All Files", etc I would expect it to play all files listed under that choice. However it just keeps drilling down until I get to that song.

When you select your Artist/Album and then are you getting all of the tracks for that specific artist or album?

Yes, If I choose an artist for instance it will show me the albums, then clicking on that will list the songs
Artist->Album->Song
I guess my point is, I would like to be able to click anywhere along this and play all of the music under whatever I click on.
Not trying to plug the ipod OS, but it is just a nice feature that I am sure RockBox has, I am just missing it.

I'm not sure if i understand correctly what you want to do, but you can play all tracks inside a "folder" in the database either by using the contextmenu of that "folder" (playlist=>insert) when playback is stopped or by using the [all tracks] entry.

Kenr, what you need to do is a 'long' select on the intermediate level and do Playlist > Insert/Insert shuffled

This will either create and start playing a playlist of the whole album or artist, or insert it into you current playlist if you were already listening to music while selecting from the Database.
