Dark:
ive been wanting to get a thing to display lyrics on rockbox and i believe i found one somewhere else on the site (sncviewer). It says to copy the file into the /apps/plugins/SOURCES file. However i can not find the "apps" file. Where is it located and how exact do i get to it?

ive seen a couple things that i was trying to do earlier that also said to copy to this folder however i am unable to find it

Llorean:
Have you downloaded the Rockbox source code and learned how to compile it? This will be necessary to do what you're talking about doing.

Dark:
no i have not, ill look for that right now >.>

aight so i figured out how to do all the compiling garbage and such, ty for telling me about that, however i am having a problem when compiling. When i compile and make the .zip file and such, and throw it onto my ipod, there are no plugins whatsoever. I open up the viewer and rock folders and they are completely empty and i have no idea why.

Also i think i am compiling the sncviewer incorrectly, the notepad says:

- copy the sncviewer.c to [rockbox_dir]/apps/plugins directory

which ive done, and then:

- add the entry "sncviewer.c" (without quotes) into [rockbox_dir]/apps/plugins/SOURCES file

That parts confusing me, i found the directory however i cannot figure out what they mean by "add the entry"

any help? ^^

safetydan:
Open the file apps/plugins/SOURCES in a text editor and add the line

sncviewer.c

to the end of that file.
