Trouble playing OGG ~450kbps on iPod 5.5 80GB

Songs just stutter; the player just seems to have trouble digesting it.
Is it normal?

Do you have equalizer, dithering, or replaygain enabled, or any other high-CPU features?

Try pausing, waiting for the disk to start spinning, and then resuming after, as well.
