Sansa Radio Support

Hi,

I've had Rockbox working on my Sansa for a few weeks now and wanted to add in the radio support.

I updated my SVN, built the code and the simulator and tested it. The FM radio showed up fine in the sim but when I copied to it the Sansa the radio option wasn't there.

Do I need to run the Sansapatcher again?

Any special steps I might have missed? I literally just unzipped the new rockbox.zip to the root in place of the older rockbox code.

JdGordon:
obvious quesiton first, you copied the e200 code onto the player, not the simulater build right?

next, did rockbox.mi4 end up in /.rockbox/ or just / ? the bootloader checks for /.rockbox/rockbox.mi4 before /rockbox.mi4 so its likely your old version got loaded instead.

scarfy:
Nope, copied the rockbox.zip over.

I renamed my /.rockbox directory to /.rockbox_old before I unzipped the new one.

If I don't need to run Sansapatcher again I'll just give it another shot tonight incase I did something else wrong :)

Are you sure your version of the Sansa has a radio built in? On "radioless" Sansas (like mine) this would be the normal behavior.

scarfy:
Damn... think you're right.

I thought they all shipped with the radio but the European version just had it disabled... Hmmmm... oh well :(
