The main problem I have with rockbox on my Sansa is that it is not possible to listen to and browse through your music at the same time because the menu navigation gets really slow while playback is running. The OF remains smooth at all times.

Hum, are you using my build. If it is a couple of days old it might be slower due to an earlier MicroSD card patch (but even then it was not slow on my Sansa). However. scrolling for me and other people are really fast now even when listening to music.
Anyway, if you want to discuss my build further, we should pick it up in one of my build threads.

I am using the svn version. When I play music I can scroll smoothly through the menus but only for a few seconds. Apparently then the playback buffer runs dry and it has to rebuffer, causing the menu navigation to lag extremely. I can reduce the lag (i.e. the time it needs to rebuffer) by not using the equalizer and playing low-bitrate songs, but like I said the OF manages to remain smooth even when playing high-quality files and using custom EQ settings.
I thought that this problem would be fixed with the GPIO button driver but that actually made no difference for me.
If this is a problem on my player only I would be glad if someone could help me fix it.
EDIT: I just downloaded a current build, removed the .rockbox folder from my player and the copied the newly downloaded version over. The problem, however, persisted.

must be the EQ then, I have no problems moving around the browsers or menus while playing music.

But like I said I just reinstalled a current build after _deleting_ the .rockbox folder on my player. That means the equalizer was turned off.
