HELP HELP HOLY CRAP PLEASE HELP ME I THINK I BROKE MY FRIENDS IPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

SO i  was putting rockbox on his ipod 4 him and and he has a 20 gb ipod from 2005. i downloaded the rockbox for ipod color/photo. i put rockbox and ran the patcher i downloaded. everything was working okay and i had to take it out and then now it stays on and it shows me a picture of a silver apple and never loads up!!!!! is there a way to turn this hting off??? when i plug it into my computer my computer doesnst sense that there is nething in the usb drive so i cant take rockbox off. is there a comman to shut down ipod!??!?!

im using an old 20 gb ipod from 2005 and stupid rockbox is going to GET ME KILLED!!!! i im so mad im trying to fix this because rockbox messed up his ipod and i cant remove it because my computer wont detect that the ipod is connected to the computer even tho its charging and it was b4. AGHFGFDGFSDG im going to go crazy, how can i make my computer detect the ipod?!

ok i realized ive acted like a tard yelling and all, its just that i panicked. good news, the ipod works fine. theres just one problem. when i hit menu and center button at the same time and leave hold off, it goes to a picture of an apple and sits there forever until i hit menu and center button again and have hold on. how do i get it so when i hold center and menu it goes to normal ipod.

Dude, seriously just reply in the same thread, don't open a new one.

That aside, I think you need to go from MENU+SELECT to SELECT+PLAY/PAUSE buttons pretty quickly. Have you followed the instructions here:
