Where to download rockboy and roms for it

I just downloaded rockbox for my 2GB iPod Nano and was told by a friend it can be used as a gameboy emulator I was wondering how this was possible any help would be appreciated thank you.

Rockboy comes with Rockbox.  Do not ask where to get copyrighted materials on these forums.

i got a question and i know this is out of theme but when i install rockbox into my sansa mp3 i didnt have rockboy on my plugins. do i have to dowload it? or i do have it but i have to do somthing else because in the section plugins on the manual on 8.3.4 it say[To start a game open a ROM file saved as .gb or .gbc in the file browser.] and i dont understand that so can you help me there?

Read saratoga's post immediately above yours:  "Rockboy comes with Rockbox."

It is not shown on the list of plugins because it is a what is called a "viewer."  Navigate to a .gb or .gbc file, and press the select button.  Rockboy will start automagically.

ok so i whent to files/then .rockbox?then to a file name viewers,i click there and there is a rockboy.rock and it tell me play a gameboy game room file so i am asuming that rockboy is not a game is like a program to play gameboy room right?.if i am right do you mind telling me how to add the rooms to the mp3? by the way i am using a sansa mp3 and i know this is out of theme sorry

You have got to be kidding.

This was explained to you so many times that I think we've all lost count. The information is in the manual, plain as day, crystal clear!

1) Create a new folder on your Sansa. Call it "Game Boy" or something.

2) Copy your ROMs into that folder. They must have a .gb or .gbc extention.

3) Start Rockbox.

4) Navigate to that Game Boy folder in the file view. Pretend that you're looking for music in it. Select the folder.

5) You should see your Game Boy ROMs in the folder. Pick the one you want to play and press "Select".

6) That's it! Rockboy starts up.

Now is that so complicated?

Sorry to be picky, but that's not how questions normally get answered here (but thanks to Lambda for taking the time).

There is more than sufficient documentation available on this particular question and step-by-step tutorials in a forum really help only you, not the readers of the 'official' information.

Please clarify how the manual/Wiki could be improved for this item and I or someone else would gladly submit it for an update.

there is some place to bet public domain roms (Imitation mario) lol and others one is called iron hime (mario immie) so look op on google poblic domain gb roms it's like some wizard's name
