wps + images problem

(1/1)

Zsan:
I seem to be doing something wrong. I am using an iPod 5.5g sim from EvilG, and it works for the most part. All I can't do is create my own wps images...I don't know why. My simple wps:

%wd%X|a|backdropblue.bmp|

%ac%?it
%ac%?id %?iy< - %iy|>
%ac%?ia

- NEXT -

%ar%Ia
%ar%Id
%ar%It

The image I am talking about is attached. I use a bmp myself.

Folder structure:
/backdrops
     backdropblue.bmp
     /zeta
             backdropblue.bmp
/wps
     zeta.wps
     /zeta
             backdropblue.bmp

knight4led:
you don't need the a part in the backdrop line. Just put
--- Code: ---%X|backdropblue.bmp|
--- End code ---
on its own line.

Also, it is not necessary to put the backdrop in its own folder within the backdrops folder. That is there so you can call it from the .cfg file you will use as a theme file if you plan to have a backdrop in the file view.

Zsan:
Thanks. I didn't know you musn't give it a name. Works okay now, all I need now is a good-looking 16-bit image as a backdrop. Is it just me, or does 16-bit look bad?

I got one backdrop to load, yet others don't seem to work. Even copying the file and using another name does not work. I'm stumped.

knight4led:
16-bit should look fine. I don't know what to tell you if it looks bad, have you actually tried it on your player instead of just the Sim?

I can't fathom what your problem would be with loading other images as long as you have the right format, correct location and typed the file name in properly in the WPS file. Try some backdrops from other WPS files for a starter I suppose and then try more of your own.
