Making rockbox playlists on PC

(1/1)

Walrus:
I looked through about 15 pages of posts and couldn't find anything, (nor does the manual or FAQ seem to address this) other than one post that said "use the rockbox database"...which I didn't quite understand.

Basically I just want to make a playlist of a bunch of tunes for a long road trip this weekend that I can cue up and put the player on shuffle...I had one on my old player that I literally just spent 30 minutes one day going through my library on iTunes and manually dragging individual songs over to a playlist.

I thought to load my rockbox music folder in Winamp as "local files" and do it that way, but then it would generate a playlist based on the files being located in a specific drive letter, which won't exist when the player isn't connected to a computer.

I'm hoping there's an easy way to do this that I'm just not thinking of...apologies if this is in the manual or FAQ somewhere and I just didn't see it.  (if it helps, it's a 5.5G iPod, and I can use iTunes or Winamp to make playlists, I don't really care which one I have to use)

Thanks!

See the post in this forum, about 8 below yours, called "M3U"

And feel free to berate the author of that thread for not using a sufficiently descriptive thread title!

 ;)

Heh, thanks for the help.  Sorry I missed that thread. :)
