patching the firmaware on osx

I was reading the manul but speaks only about how to patch it using windows, any suggestion on the mac side?

You should be able to
- go the manual way described at this page:

- fwpatcher runs with wine. I don't know about wine for OS X though.
- as a last resort, you could try getting hands on a (virtual) windows box for patching the firmware.

There aren't too much OS X users around, so if you can contribute to the installation for mac os feel free to do so.

ok I can try, but wine does not work on OSX or at least on powerpc platform, maybe the macintel can run it.

So it's gonna be a bit tricky to install it. >:(

Well the source code for fwpatcher, and the other tools it's based on, is available. You could try compiling a native tool for your OS to do it.
