database finds (and plays) deleted files...
« on: June 10, 2007, 01:07:30 PM »
I got a F20 off of ebay, installed rockbox and so far seems fine.  I put a few albums on it to test it, then initialized the database and was surprised to see it find a few thousand children's songs.  These don't show up in windows explorer, so I'm assuming previous owner deleted them, but they still exist on the hard drive since they haven't been overwritten yet.  I'm not sure if this is a "feature" or a bug that should be fixed, but I only have 15 gb of music and will likely have scroll past 'Raffi' to find 'Rancid'.  Any ideas on getting rid of these songs from the database?  I'm completely new to rockbox.

Connect your player to your computer and then empty the recycling bin.

Or, alternatively, use the disktidy plugin, which removes all uneccessary Windows/OSX files
