iAudio M5L hard drive upgrade

(1/1)

vexecuter:
Sorry - this is a similar post to one I put in the "General" forum...

I have seen a seagate single platter 60gb hard drive:

http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?locale=en-US&name=Lyrion%E2%84%A2_CE-ATA_60-GB_Hard_Drive&vgnextoid=37c344ab7cffd010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD&vgnextchannel=4b6cf7e846f7d010VgnVCM100000dd04090aRCRD&reqPage=Model#

Questions are:

-->Is it the correct connector for the iAudio M5L?
--> Is it compatible with it? (Bearing in mind I want to stick the Rockbox firmware on after upgrading...)
--> Can I keep both batteries in the M5L  if i stick it in?

If not, can you recommend a 60gb single platter drive that is compatible with the M5L?

Thanks

Offie

If the size and connectors match, you should be right, copy the old HDD to the new 60gig one with Norton Ghost, that will copy partitions and crap over, it should be all good.
