the ipodpatcher will not recognize my 1st gen iPod Nano

i have downloaded the bootloader and the file is listed on my ipod now in a file called .rockbox as it should be but the ipodpatcher will not recognize my ipod and it is in disk mode it was configured through itunes on XP. HELP ME!!!!

What exactly have you done - list it out, step by step.

I have a 1st gen ipod nano, I have installed the Firmware onto my ipod and the ocrrect folder is listed on my ipod. When i run the Boot loader is says no ipods found. I have my ipod in diskmode as the instalation tells me to. any ideas why it is not recognizing my ipod??

of course i am. it's silver metal on the back and black plastic on the front. do you have any ideas??
