Gigabeat F and Incomplete Playlist Problem
« on: June 07, 2007, 09:52:39 AM »
1) Select an album (Chillout Trance CD1 in this case)

2) Start playing

3) Use the context menu to queue another album onto the end of the current dynamically generated playlist (Demon Days)

4) Rename and save the playlist (o.m3u in / - I'm aware of /Playlists, but I don't ejintas it happens)

5) Browse to the playlist an open it with the text viewer.

The probem I'm seeing is that only the initial album is present in the playlist - the second one I queued up is nowhere to be seen.

A fairly recent build - r13516 070529

Any clues?

I guess that since queued files will not be saved because of the way queuing in rockbox works, that is they are removed from the current dynamic playlist after thay have been played.
If you want to save them to a playlist you should use "Insert" instead of queue.

Ah, bugger. I was determined not to ask a question answered in the manual and have failed miserably. I looked carefully at how to save the playlist, but assumed I knew how to add.

Thanks for the pointer.
