rockboy problem-please help

i put my roms in my sg black 30 gb ipod and i have rockbox working easily but when i try and start a rom, it says

unknown rom size 6000^ returned plugin error

what am i doing wrong here...thanks in advance

fugot:
make sure the rom ends in .gb or .gbc it might be a game boy advanced rom. also try a diffrent rom to see if it works.
