Me too - so we'll wander east from your hotel to find somewhere a bit less popular with the tourists.

Sounds good.  There's a place called "The George" on Strand which looks promising, though I haven't yet been inside.

What time should we meet?

Damn why do i have to live in the U.S.A.  I would like to go but it's just a bit to far away to be considered a short trip.

Well, that was why we had DevConWest.  :)

Guys,

I'm sorry to tell you that I failed to send tshirts over to you for this event. My vacation sucked me up totally.  :-[

The plan is for someone to have it written on a piece of paper on the table.

Otherwise just walk in and scream "Rockbox" at the top of your voice, and we'll spot you ;)

You don't fancy having another one of these in a couple of weeks when I'm down in London, do you?

linuxstb and I are definitely keen for a rematch. He managed to out drink everyone else last night, and still sound coherent and intelligent. This could well have been because I was thoroughly plastered and conversations about pink elephants and bubblegum would have sounded intelligent to me - but lets not go there :)

So for anyone interested our agenda for the evening went :

a) beer
b) more beer
c) curry
d) conversations that looped in and out of Rockbox related stuff.

Febs showed off his (imho) far too expensive headphones (Shure e500s I think) which did an excellent job of removing all background noise from the surroundings but (again imho) still aren't worth the price! Caveat again that I'm proud of my tin ears, so don't go mad at me for maligning your favourite headphones if they happen to be in your back pocket too.

Stripwax failed to show up sadly.

Febs good lady wife managed to last a good hour or so before she told us that "riveting though the conversation is, I'm going back to the hotel - later!".

Febs and I have agreed to try to explain cricket / baseball to each other.

Um - there was probably more but I was definitely a bit squiffy when I left and it escapes me now.
