Sorting database files by sub category

(1/1)

Pileot:
i did a search for this, and didnt find an answer. Im using a 5.5g ipod video, rockbox version 13396-070515

lets suppose you do the following:

When you go to play music from like database -> Genre -> all tracks, it plays all music of a selected genre. As it should. But when its sorting the songs, its always sorting it alphabetically. Which if you want to play all songs from one CD or band, then all songs from another, it makes it rather hard to do so.

What im asking is is there a way to redefine how the lists are sorted. Like instead of alphabetically...

Artist Name
  Song
  Song
  Song

Second Artists Name
  Song
  Song

untagged song
random song no artist
etc

Or supposing you started by sorting by artist then selected all tracks of a specific artist

CD one
  Song
  Song
  Song

CD Two
  Song
  Song

Single track
Single track

The first / second selection decides what songs only to show by a large group... Genre, artist, album, etc.

The third selection lets you further trim whats being played by selecting specific subfolders.

The fourth selection lets yoou pick specific songs.

What im asking is... if you at any time select all tracks, is there a way to sort the songs other than by filename? Sorting by artist or genre or somthing? And then alphabetically within that? Perhaps if that artist has more than 5 songs in total, seperate it as shown above, and if it doesnt then leave it grouped with the rest of the music at the bottom of the list.
