Bootloader problem

I'm new here and new to modding. It seems i didn't extract rockbox into my ipod.. that was stupid... when i did that and loaded the bootloader, it wouldn't load. It stopped. Is it possible to finish installing rockbox at this point? cuz all i can do is restart my ipod, but i finally got it into disk mode, which im sure should help. btw, i have a 5 gen ipod video
