CRASHED!! Update or restoration

I recently purchased a gigabeat MES30V without the original software. When turned on it says connect to a pc. When connected to the pc it says "Update or restore Portable Media Center using PC application. Read owner's manual. that gave me nothing and there is no reset button. What can I do?

yeah i'm sorry man but nobody here is gonna have a clue on how to help you because for the most part were specialized in gigabeat F and X series.
