Rockbox Equalizer Settings?
MrMEC:
--- Quote from: Kefo2012 ---Yeah I tried the treble/bass settings on rockbox, and they just don't seem to do justice. Also, the presets are okay, but certain frequencies just don't come through some of them.

I think the Rockbox presets are crap. My opinion.
--- Quote from: Kefo2012 ---I know there is an equalizer setting that is somewhat universal, bringing out the max in most genres, but I guess I'll never find it.

I sure would like to know if this setting exists, but I don't think any sound is "universal". See my opinion above about the presets - I'm sure many would disagree with me about them, but it's all subjective.
--- Quote from: Kefo2012 ---I suppose it was a stupid question to begin with, asking for someone's eq settings... well thanks for the help anyways cats and kittens, but I guess I'm on my own here. I'll figure out this equalizer sooner or later, I hope

Why do you consider that a stupid question? It's perfectly reasonable to wonder what other other people's ideal settings are, and the question has been asked many times before. Here are some other posts you might find helpful containing many presets, the first of which includes one of my own (which I still use).

You're welcome. ;)

Here is another opinion if you want. I don't use the EQ personally because with it on my audio sounds really bad. The presets as someone else has mentioned are crap but that isn't why I don't like the EQ. With the EQ turned off my music sounds like heaven to my ears.
Therefore the sound you get is largely dependent on the type of headphones & quality of music files you listen to.
Just a suggestion, if you are still dissatisfied after tweaking the various options maybe it is time to upgrade your headphones. You'll most likely be amazed at the difference.

Okay well I have sony mdr-7506's, and they reproduce studio quality sound. They basically deliver the music as it was recorded... hope this helps.

Then you have no use for EQ.

No there isn't. Your music is already EQed by the recording studio, so all you're doing with EQ is correcting for the limitations of your hardware.

I already explained that the studio quality doesn't have enough body to it.

Then you are probably wrong about your headphones having a perfect frequency response.
