how to change splash screen on nano? i am super confused!

So, I got rockbox a few weeks ago and everythings working out well
i would like to change the splash screen image
i searched and found that this is possible
most people say that you have to go into the apps/something something
and then just modify the image
am i just really stupid, or does the apps folder not exist
can someone tell me where i find this folder?

ps they also said that you have to go into the source code to do this. how?

any help would be highly appreciated

To change the splash image you can do either of two things:

use logoswapper

or you can compile your own build. This means you need to
1. set up a development environment (Cygwin, VMware, Colinux, native linux)
2. download source code
3. modify the image in the source code
4.compile a build for your nano from the source code

thanks a lot, i just used LogoSwapper
it worked fine
the only thing i didnt know was that i had to swap the rockbox.ipod file
after i did that, it works great!
