codec failure when playing flac files on iriver ihp140
ollinger:
Hi,
wheneever i try to play a flac file on my iriver ihp140 a codec failure is reported by rockbox. The strange thing is that with all the other codecs (mp3, ogg) its working without any problems. i'm having the latest build and newiest bootloader (version 6) installed. Would be great if someone could help me to solve this problem !!!
Cheers, Oliver
linuxstb:
Have those flac files ever worked in Rockbox in the past?
ollinger:
i dont know. that was my first try to play flac files on my iriver. i recently encoded my cds with EAC to flac, also to check out the rockbox support of the flac codec. do you think there is something wrong with my flac files ? they work perfect with foobar and mediamonkey.
Lear:
Just tried a flac file here, on my H140 and that worked fine, so it doesn't seem to be a fundamental problem with the codec at least.
Given the error, there could be something in the file that cause problems for the codec. What version of flac and which command line options did you use?
ollinger:
i'm using flac version 1.1.4.
command line is:
-5 -T "Artist=%a" -T "Title=%t" -T "Album=%g" -T "Date=%y" -T "Tracknumber=%n" -T "Genre=%m" %s -o %d
hope this helps !
