On a PC I would get the BIOS to identify the drive, how does the iAudio BIOS cope with the different drive sizes and does anyone know if there are limits to what it will recognise?
Thanks.

That's a 2.5" drive, which won't physically fit inside an X5 - you'll need a 1.8" drive.
I'm not sure exactly which models will fit in the X5, but I think 80GB is the largest you can currently buy, and those are neither cheap (compared to the 2.5" drives you've seen) or easily available.
Have you considered simply buying a second DAP and using them both - that would double your disk space, and double your battery life...

But you would also have to carry them both around...
