Problem with Rockbok on Sansa

(1/2) > >>

mbbda:
Hi, am a Rockbox newbie but have been following the progress on the sansa for some time.
I have just installed it on my sansa e280 (lil monsta version) & is todays build.
Problem is, I can't see any music files via Rockbox file browser.  I had all my music files in the sansa music folder & I noticed that the folder is " hidden" but unhiding the folder has not changed any thing.  I also created a new folder in the root directory & put music files into that but I can't see those in rockbox either.
I Have read the manual, sorry if I have missed something.

Any help please...

Vortex:
What format is your music in? Keep in mind that Rockbox can not play wma files.

You can also try the following:
Go to the main menu and highlight the "Files" entry. Then press the Context Menu button (the button below the scroll wheel). In this menu select "Show Files" and then "All". Now you should be able to see your files.

X86:
vortex the firmware the original one, hides the MUSIC folder so sometimes is going to stay this problem, and about the files is weird that rockbox doesn't show them.

mbbda:
The "show all files" in the context menu has fixed my problem, Thankyou.

mschneider:
(Just to make sure) Have you initialized the database? I dont know if you were trying to just find the music files in their folders or search through them via Artist, Album, Title, etc.
