why 88% battery shows only 2 hours on IPOD VIDEO

The only workaround I can think of would be a wiki page of runtimes
using standerd tracks and wps and noting the age of the player this would lead to a consennes of battery capacity over time. this could be plugged into the settings or adjusted slightly for different wps or playing games etc.

Yeah, that is why I like adjusting the max capacity per the menu.

Technically, it's just a calculation with several variables...and adjusting any of which can lead to a correct solution.  I can see the programmers' desire to make the algorithm as correct as possible, but part of the inherent issue is that the max capacity is truly a variable which will degrade over time.

Yes and also the current consuption is also variable different wps's
different codecs and perhaps more importantly improvement in rockbox code which one day may equal or beat the original firmware battery run time.
