This is clearly a question, isn't it?

Anyway, I would try the general unbricking instructions for the Sansa, which you can find here (one thread down): http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=10766.0

Luckily I haven't bricked my Sansa yet, but the recovery procedures seem similar, no matter how you bricked your device.

Good luck on getting it to work again!

Oh and one more thing: Why did you put the Rhapsody image on your player in the first place? It's clearly stated in the wiki (and in the manual?) that this will brick your player.

I noticed that you can put a normal sansa image in a rhapsody one,so I thinked it can be done backwards

At least two different people have turned a vanilla Sansa e200 into a Rhapsody one, and both managed to convert their units back into vanilla ones.

So yes, it can be done and no it doesn't brick your device.

1. Get a Rhapsody firmware
2. mi4code decrypt it to binary
3. mi4code encrypt the binary to the e200 vanilla mi4 file format
4. "upgrade" to this new mi4

IIRC

Edit: Note that I'm not at all sure how/if the Rhapsody functions actually work when this boots on a vanilla e200 as I don't know if anyone ever tried anything like that with their players.

bagder I managed to install a rhapsody firmware in my sansa e250, I'm going to mark the steps I did:

1)download a rhapsody mi4 file and the btl

2)extract the mi4 and the btl in the root folder of the sansa then change the .btl to rom

3)uninstall rockbox boot loader and make a copy of rockbox in the hdd of the computer

4)disconnect the sansa of the pc and then wait and pray

5)try all the functions of the rhapsody firmware

thats all,I'm very happy,I was astonished by this, the rhapsody firmware looks very good, and it can play real audio files and the other 2 formats (.wma and .mp3)

X86, can you still use Rockbox and the dual-boot feature together with the Rhapsody firmware?

I very much doubt it, since the Rhapsody bootloader (which I didn't say he should use) he "upgraded" to does a proper digital signature check and therefore it will refuse to run Rockbox.

Try restoring to the vanilla bootloader and you'll see what I mean.

Besides, if you had kept the vanilla bootloader you should still be able to dual-boot rockboox or rhapsody sansa. With the R bootloader, that won't be possible.

Your Sansa has a bootloader as well as a firmware installed to it. The bootloader is responsible for loading the firmware (either the stock firmware or rockbox).

The Sansa's bootloader does a signature-check on the firmware file before loading it. Only properly signed (i.e. "authentic") firmware images can be loaded.

However the bootloader of the "vanilla" (i.e. non-Rhapsody) version has a bug that allows the Rockbox developers to trick the bootloader into loading an unsigned firmware.

This bug was fixed in the Rhapsody version, therefore it's not possible to load Rockbox using the Rhapsody bootloader.

Since you put both, the Rhapsody firmware as well as the Rhapsody bootloader on your Sansa, you will most likely not be able to boot Rockbox anymore.

Note that I don't know anything about the technical stuff. I'm just repeating what is said in the wiki, and I think it wouldn't have been too hard for you to look there yourself...
