Sansa e200 remote and SDHC
(1/1)
Smayds:
Hi all,
Very new to Rockbox, but incredibly impressed so far. Having lots of fun poking around the source and seeing how it all comes together.
I picked up a cheapie e250 a week or so ago and I'd like to use it in my car. I've pulled it apart and I'm trying to figure out which lines on the dock connector are connected to either GPIOs or a serial port on the processor. Anybody have a Sansa dock they're willing to pop the cover off? I plan to add a simple little remote console to Rockbox, and if I can make it compatible with the official Sansa remote then so much the better, but that's not really that important so far, as I only boot back into the OF to charge and do USB stuff. Rockbox, well, rocks ;D
I also recently added SDHC support (untested as yet!!) to an SD datalogger project I worked on about a year ago. I'll have to pick up a card at some point for some real testing, but if anybody who specializes in SD stuff on the Sansa would like some info, please ask - if not, I'll give it a look. It seems very, very simple - Rockbox seems to access the SD card in multiples of the sector size anyway, so the only thing that needs to be added is the command to check for an SDHC card on initialization, then if one's found, don't multiply the sector by 512 when you do a read or write.
Cheers all, Rockbox is great!
