Itunes Question (Rockbox is involved in a way)
« on: May 31, 2007, 04:26:21 PM »
Okay here's my question:

Now that itunes sells DRM free music, does that mean songs now purchased on itunes can be played over rockbox??

I remember in the past you couldn't due to them being DRM protected.

Everything I've seen indicates you can do anything you want with them, and any AAC-enabled player should be fine (like Rockbox)

The DRM-free songs can be played on Rockbox. However, not all music from iTunes is now DRM-free.

You can always put your DRM'd files onto your iPod through iTunes and use the standard firmware to play them.

Not all of us have iPods.  There's now at least some rationale for me to purchase music from iTunes.
