Toshiba Gigabeat MEG-F40S Volume Buttons Switched

(1/2) > >>

Hello

I've used Rockbox on my IHP120 for a couple years now.  Unfortunately, I fried my IHP120 recently.  So I read up on the other Rockbox-able players and decided the Toshiba Gigabeat MEG-F40S was the best for me.  I just got the new-in-box F40 yesterday.  After I booted it up into the original firmware and made sure everything looked okay, which it did.  I then installed Rockbox on it.  Now the volume buttons on the side of the F40 are reversed.  The Vol+ button causes the volume to decrease.  The Vol- button causes the volume to increase.  Changing the volume on the touchpad works as it should.  Is this normal?  I switched back to the original firmware to confirm that the volume buttons worked normally with the original firmware, and they are just fine there - Vol+ increasing the volume and Vol- decreasing the volume.

Thanks!

Nikolaus

You don't say exactly what build of Rockbox you installed.

Chronon:
The buttons work properly for me.

I can't reproduce it either, but one thing you could test:

Go to: System -> Debug -> View I/O ports

Now look at the right-most digit of the value of GPGDAT. Normally it should be:

no buttons: 0
vol+: 4
vol-: 8
