What is "Favourite Artists" in the Database History Menu?

(1/1)

haven98:
Hi,

I looked in the manual and searched the forums but unfortunately was not able to find any information about this.

In the database menu there is a history submenu.  Within that I can see rating/playcount and it works great but I also noticed a series of "Favourite" categories but they are always empty.  Is there a certain number of times an Artist or Album must be played before it appears in there or is this tagged somewhere else?

Thanks.

bascule:
Yes.

A track is classed as a 'favourite' if the playcount > 3 and autoscore > 85

Autoscore is the average play duration of the track as a percentage i.e., if you listen to a track 4 times for 100%, 90%, 95% and 98%, the playcount will be 4, the autoscore will be 95.75 and it will appear in that list

Bascule,

Thanks for the response.  That makes sense now.

Do you have to select the music through the database menu for this? Cos I don't seem to have any favourites or anything... (I play stuff using the files menu)

haven98:
Yes you need to use the Database for this option as far as I can tell because I did not see it under File either.
