Archos V1 with Mac OS X?

Has anyone made first generation Archos mp3 units work with Macintosh OS X?  (I did search but didn't turn up anything conclusive.)

An old G3 running OS 9.2.2 could see and mount the Archos Jukebox Recorder 10, but the unit won't mount on a G4 with OX 10.3.9.  The connected USB symbol does appear on the Archos screen, but the drive doesn't mount, nor is it recognized by the System Profiler.  What's missing?  A driver?

Any guidance is much appreciated.

You need to find updated drivers for OS X that can talk to the ISD200 chip on the Archos.  It looks like there aren't any drivers for newer versions of OS X. This is the latest one I found with a quick Google search:
