cycling images
« on: May 29, 2007, 08:56:17 PM »
Is it possible to make a specific image appear on the WPS in relation to the artist/tracknumber/trackname of the currently playing song and make it switch when the artist/track switches?
For example: Image 1 is displayed when song 1 is being played, then when track 2 is being played, image 2 is displayed, then when track 3 is being played say image 1 will be displayed again.

Yes, but not with the default build.  Do some poking around the forums for "Album Art".

I have, in the past, loved album art.  I've cooled on it now, though.  It's more work than (For me) it's worth.

In the WPS? Yes, though if the images are any size at all you'll quickly run out of buffer space for them.  Look through the timer section of the wps guide in the wiki, and in some gallery somewhere (gigabeat?) there's a "Dancing Megaman" that cycles through images.  Also, PHKTape cycles images to make the reels look like they're rotating.  See how that's done and modify it to slideshow your images, but if something doesn't work it could be because you're running out of buffer memory for the pictures.
