Display of % battery capacity remaining

I had this working, at least on my remote where I need it. I have an iRiver iHP-120 loaded with recent Rockbox. My HD died a couple weeks back and had to install a new one. So, I lost at least some of my Rockbox settings. I exploded the latest rockbox zip into the new HD (the Rockbox firmware persisted in the player), but now I can't see battery % remaining capacity on the remote (or player). Somehow that doesn't seem to depend on the theme or WPS (I don't understand the difference, I am a noob!). I guess it's a setting, but have poked and poked and not found it. Any hints or help appreciated!!

Setting -> General Settings -> Display -> Status/Scrollbar -> Battery Display
