Freeze Problem with Car Mode (Iriver H140)
Neff:
I've recently started having problems with car mode on my iriver. I have it plugged into a cigar lighter charger while I drive and when I turn of the ignition, as designed, playback automatically goes into pause.
However it seems to freeze in the pause mode, a log hold of stop doesn't even turn it off - it's paper clip time. Something I haven't had to do for ages.
I'm just installing the 20070529 build and I'll see how that works on tomorrow's commute.
TrisMcC:
I am using a IPOD 5.5G 30Gig and have been having this problem with every daily build for the past few weeks.
Mikerman:
I've had this issue intermittently over the past 3 weeks or so, but thought it might be a power supply issue (I have another device drawing on the cigarette lighter power), and so have been more careful in attaching/detaching my player to the car's power; since then, no issue (in the last week/2 weeks). This all may simply be coincidental to newer builds that I've downloaded in this period.
Neff:
So far I've had no problems since I installed the 20070529 build.
Mikerman:
Confirmed that this issue exists.
Target: Â iRiver iHP-140
Build: Â 6-6-07 bleeding edge (about 6 p.m. California time)
Switch car mode on, connect the player to power, and start playback. Â Either disconnect the power cord from the player or turn the power off. Â A press of play will start the player again. Â However, reconnecting the power cord instead to the player or turning the power on again, after 2, 5, 10 or 15 seconds, and the player freezes in 2-5 seconds and needs to be restarted with the reset button (and sometimes will boot into iRiver at that point).
Being reported on Flyspray.
