iPOD 5th generation - Key-lock
DefineByte:
I use ReplayGain and crossfeed. I've had it lock up on my 5G 30GB using my own custom text-only theme.

The *only* DSP effect I bother using is Crossfeed, and I've not had my iPod lock up on me once - no matter what theme I've been using.

I don't use the EQ, crossfeed or crossfade and I also turn off "fade on Stop/pause" I also don't use the hold key so I don't think its related to the hold key.
I have experienced the lockups with the following WPS: Bloodstained, DOS Blue and the default Rockbox WPS.

Most days I am currently running the SVN version from 10 Jun 10:41, but I am just about to update to the current version again.
It seems to happen quite often when I update the database in background after adding/or removing some files, so it maybe related to disk access. I currently have about 40GB's of music and audio books on my 80GB iPod so thats quite a lot of files to read when updating the database.

I am having this same problem with a 30GB iPod Video, and have since I started using Rockbox back in February. The only things I'm running are "Replay Gain", and I'm running the "Rock" preset on my EQ, though I swear the Key locking happened more when I ran the "Default" EQ setting and no DSP/Effect options. I'm running the SVN from June 10, but can't remember what time.
I've been hesitant to change the theme as I'm not sure if that would impact speech support, which I need.
It also doesn't matter for me what size/type of file I use...It happens when my wife and I are listening to audio books in the car, for which I've taken all the tracks for each chapter and combined them into one...For instance, if chapter 2 is ten files, I've made it one...It also happens when I listen to music, usually within a few seconds of me starting whatever song I want to play. I'm thinking I may disable the Replay Gain because I noticed when I was running the "Rock" preset, without the Replay gain, it didn't happen as often, though still periodically...And as I mentioned on another thread, it ALWAYS happens if I have the Rockbox EQ set to Default (which appears to be off).
As it's completely inaccessible to a blind user, I don't know if this would happen on my player with the Apple firmware being run instead of Rockbox.
