more repair woes

My trusty stereo repair guy fixed the broken DC In jack of my Recorder 20.

But now the Line In will only record one track.  I tried different sources and plugs to make sure it was the Recorder 20's problem.

I could give him back the unit and tell him to fix the Line In, but I was wondering if there could be some other cause that I'm not remembering in the settings.  Or something else.
