Sansa e200 Bookmarks - Problem

(1/2) > >>

malproxy:
Hello, I'm having trouble creating bookmarks for my Sansa e280.  I go from the WPS to the context menu by pressing the submenu button, and then select Bookmarks>Create Boomark, and nothing happens. When selecting "Recent Boomarks" it says "Bookmarks Empty"  It doesn't seem to create bookmarks on stop either.

My settings are:
Bookmark on stop: yes
Load last bookmark: no
Maintain a list of recent bookmarks: yes
I've tried all sorts of combinations of settings, nothing has helped

I've looked in the file system and can't find any .bmark files anywhere on the player. (They should be in the same folder as the file they're bookmarking though, right?)

So, am I doing something wrong, or can anyone suggest a solution?  Thanks a lot.

Vortex:
I had to press Select multiple times on the "Create Bookmark" entry. This in turn created several bookmarks, but when pressing Select only once nothing happens.

Someone should file a bug report. I would do it myself, but I'm unsure as to how to do it right.

I also have the Sansa 280 and listen to a lot of audiobooks, so the bookmarking capability is extremely important to me. So if you and others are having the same problem, then I will wait for the fix before downloading it. Does anyone know how prevalent this problem is? Thank you in advance.

Bookmarks work for me now, although I'm not really sure why, they just started working...  The only thing I can think of is that the file I was trying to bookmark was in a subfolder of the Music directory, and bookmarks are created right in the Music directory.  Don't know if that is why, but it all seems to work now.

[EDIT]  OK, now after adding a lot more music to it, bookmarks aren't working anymore  ???
They don't work if I access the music from the database, but if open I a song through the file browser, I can make a bookmark, which is then saved as "MUSIC.bmark" in the root directory of the player.  Obviously this is not ideal...

Vortex:
It still doesn't work for me though. I'm using latest SVN.
