iPod 5.5G 30Gb Playlist filename problem
« on: May 25, 2007, 04:51:29 PM »
Hello,

I've been adding all of my music to my iPod with Winamp, and then using the DB converter tool to allow RB to access it.  This works fine in terms of the database itself.  The songs, artists, etc all show up properly in the lists that it creates for finding my music.

The problem arises when I try to view the songs that are in playlists.  When I pull it up, it shows all the names that winamp's PMP plugin generated, and not the information contained in the tags.  I don't understand why the playlist reads from the filenames, but everything else from the tags.

Is there a setting to change this?  I am extremely new to RB, and would like to stick with it.  Playlists are a very improtant feature to me.

Thanks in advance!

Rob

Because all playlists are is a list of filenames, nothing more, nothing less. The playlist viewer doesn't have access to the tag information.

well then for a feature request, having a playlist utility that offers access to the DB would be excellent.

Thanks for your time,
