Problems with latest builds?
Justurfing:
Since yesterday that I installed last build my player (H140) shows the CODEC FAILURE message with every single file I want to play. I thought it was yesterdays build as I downloaded the latest one from today and it played OK after that. But when I started it again to listen to music it l began again. It skips every single track of all albums, nonstop unless I press STOP.
Any ideas why this happens? When I boot with the Iriver Firmware it plays all files properly. So it is only RB.
linuxstb:
Did you extract the entire contents of the rockbox.zip to your iriver?
Do you still have an old "rockbox.iriver" file in the root of your iriver? If so, you should delete it, rockbox.iriver now lives inside the .rockbox folder.
Justurfing:
Last time I posted here I had another problem with the same folder. I was told delete it and then move it from the /rockbx directory back to root because RB wouldn't load properly. I will try that again.
Justurfing:
Lol. Now I deleted that "old" file and RB doesn't boot at all. It boots with Iriver FW ???
Llorean:
You need to be running the latest bootloader. If it displays Version 5 while you turn on the player, you need to follow the bootloader installation instructions in the Rockbox manual.
