80gb 5.5g Ipod Video Users..

Yes.
Hence the reason everywhere on the website now says that the 80GB works with Rockbox. That has to include ipodpatcher, otherwise users couldn't install it...

I wouldnt doubt what Llorean says. He is with this project for a very long time. Some people think he is a coder for rockbox he is so knowledgeable.

Where do I find the new ipodpatcher? The link from the manual only points to version 0.9 which does not work with the iPod 80GB.

Try redownloading it. That one there was replaced with the proper version on the 23 of May, but you may have some sort of caching issue.
