Gigabeat F WPS Emergency
« on: May 22, 2007, 01:34:30 PM »
I've selected a theme, not sure which. It COMPLETELY blacked out my rockbox main menu.

I apologize if this has already been discussed, I'm in a very big hurry in a class at school, on a teacher's computer (they disabled the USB ports on my computer).

Does anyone know what I can do?

Either tell me the order to go to the theme selection from the main menu (I'll do it blindly)

Or some file I can mess with?

any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!

A quick look in the manual gives me this:

You can also reset all settings to their default values by turning off the player, and turning it back on with the A button on.

if you plug your gigabeat into your computer and go to the .rockbox directory you can find a configeration file (something like config.cfg)  open it with notepad, and change the background entry.  (if it's ocmpletely black you'll probably see something like background color: 000000.

try changing the 000000 to FFFFFF.  This will switch the background to while.  if you don't see background color: then add the line in.
