OR tag in custom database view?

I've been following the instruction on the database page in the wiki to make my a custom browser, but I'd really like to filter some things using OR. But I don't know what the code is! The wiki only has & for AND, can anyone tell me what OR is?

I suspect it's probably | (the pipe symbol if you're a unix weenie like me).

There is no support for OR. Depending on what you are trying to achieve, the @ operator might be useful.
