/me doesn't mean to be a pedantic ass, but the usage of the Starfleet logo is most likely a copyright violation???

I would disagree, if it was created from scratch then it is his creation. I mean if it wassen't a direct copy. But seriously star fleet won't exist for a few more hundred years any way so what are you worrying about. :D
