Rockbox is has near 200 settings already (I think someone mentioned 180). Most of these are relating to actual features, things a user can't do fairly easily (such as say, crossfeed or replaygain, features that can't be done by hand).
The more "features" the harder the code is to work with, and the more confusing the menus become for new users, as well as the larger the binary size. For something like this, many developers will think a feature request should be rejected (were one even filed) because it's a fairly simple matter for the user to navigate to the appropriate folder on their own, and having the code assist this is simply a waste of resources better used for something the user can't do themselves.
