USB LOGO freeze
LeeZer:
sorted that now :). well impressed with rockbox.
Turok:
Okay, I have the same problem and it wasn't so bad before. Everytime I connect to USB the rockbox-usb-screen crashes. A few days ago (older rockbox-version) there were no problems.
Now I have to reboot to the Apple firmware and then it'a all fine. But it's very annoying. :-/
Where is the fault?

Well, if that would be known it could get fixed ...
Btw, you don't need to reboot to AppleOS for disk mode -- you can simply use emergency disk mode. Rockbox itself reboots to Apples disk mode anyway (but not emergency disk mode, so that mode reboots after usb disconnect)
Turok:
Okay, the emergency disk mode is nice... but what's the advantage? After usb disconnect I have to reboot manually, too. (the same way if I boot to AppleOS)
Very "funny" bug... :-[
LeeZer:
cheers for all the help she loves it.
what I have to do to connect it is.
turn on > emidtiatly hold select and play / pause > we get a big tick on the screen saying it's say to disconnect > connect the usb lead.
when finished uploading tracks
disconnect lead > then when the tick reapears then hold down menu then select together.
I know it's not the correct way of connecting but it works.
i'd agree there must be a bug seeming you have to go through all those steps just to either charge and send files. Small bug really considering all the other benifits of this FREE software tho.
my girlfriend would like to say thank you to all that have contributed to the rockbox project as it's enabled her to be able to use an Ipod due to her visual imparments.
regards
Lee
