H120 support which remote?

I know that the remote from imp-500 could be used on H120! But i'm wondering if the imp-350's remote could be used on H120?
Have anybody try this?

I tried an IMP-450 remote on the h120. It basically uses the same principle, but the buttons are completely messed up and the LCD was upside down with a completely wrong contrast setting.

Adjusting Rockbox to the slightly different hardware of that remote is quite easy, but you need to hack the sources. I guess the IMP-350 remote is similar in that case.

It will absolutely not work. I have two imp-350's and 4 of the remotes and I tried them on my H120 a couple of months ago. I posted my experiment at misticriver forums. The remote display goes black, so you have no idea what you are doing.

What will work is the imp-550 remote. It looks exactly like the H120 remote, functions the same, but has different writing on the outside. You either ignore that or do what I intend to do, which is to redo that writing (when I get around to it). I will print what I want it to say with my laser printer, spray that with fixatif, cut it out and glue it to the remote with clear nail polish. Thing is, I bought a couple of these remotes from iRiver's closeout specials page at the iRiver Store at their website. They were $10 each, whereas they had the H120 remotes selling for $22. Now I have 3 remotes, so I'm backed up there...

Have you adjusted the contrast setting for the remotes lcd? On the IMP-450 remote I needed to set the contrast setting to some completely different value than for the H120 remote. Not doing so resulted in a black screen ...
