My Ipod reboots endlessly and I cant fix it!
Jaquers:
Ok so i installed rockbox a while back. I used the new automatic ipod patcher on my 5g 30 GB ipod, i liked the features but decided in the end, i wanted to stick with apple firmware... so i decided to uninstall... but, i was stupid and just deleted the rockbox files... then i realized i had to get rid of the bootloader. so i did - by just opening the ipodpatcher app and hitting 'u' to uninstall and it said it uninstalled successfully. so i rebooted it and then when it gets to the apple screen, it reboots, and reboots, and reboots. So i decided to restore it, and did. Same problem. Downgraded the apple firmware via an old installer and a hack from ipod wizard, then upgraded to 1.2.1. Still the same problem. Is there something i'm missing here? because now everytime i try to boot apple firmware, it restarts as soon as it gets past the apple screen. But what's weird is that i can run rockbox just fine... but as soon as i uninstall it, it becomes useless and wont boot the apple firmware.... any help you can give would be greatly appreciated! ;D

Have you tried holding Menu and Select so that it hard resets, and AS SOON AS the screen goes blank releasing the buttons and holding down the menu button without wiggling your little finger?
Jaquers:
not sure i understand what you mean but if i do, what i'm trying to do here is uninstall rockbox completely and not boot the apple firmware from a dual boot setup...
Jaquers:
does any mod or admin have any suggestions?

i have the exact same problem... except i'm trying to dual boot so i can use apple firmware to run mp4s.
unfortunately itunes doesn't work on my computer for another problem i dont even wanna try to fix (i'll just goto a friends house later), so i havent been able to restore the apple firmware... but if you've been able to do that and not have it work, then i need an answer just as much as you do O_o (except that i like rockbox ^_^).
any help on this would be doubly appreciated, guys.
