a week ago my ipod broke and today i sent it back, it's not because of rockbox but i have 2 quetions.

Are they able to realize that i had rockbox on it?
What happens if they realize?
I know that i lose the warranty if i install rockbox but what will happen?

If you didn't uninstall it first - then yes, it'll be pretty obvious you put Rockbox on it.

Basically, if they determine that the warranty is void, they may either refuse repairs, or charge you for repairs.

If it's a broken battery, then you'll be up for about the cost of a new iPod...

Problem solved, i got it back today(!). everything is as it was before it was broken, even rockbox works. how can they not see that rockbox is on my ipod? *i'm so happy*

i had the same problem....i had rockbox on when my ipod went dead....they replaced it for free.

It all depends on who's fixing it. If it's someone who's in a good mood who's fixing the ipod, then they probably won't mark it off or charge you, or at worst they'll tell you that you shouldn't put alternative systems on your ipod because it can stress the hardware. Or, you can get someone who's in a bad mood, in which case they could charge you, mark it as a void warrenty, or just refuse to fix it. Ideally, you want someone who's in a good mood and is generally a nice person to customers.
