warranty question
« on: May 15, 2007, 10:17:49 AM »
Hey, i'm seriously considering putting rockbox on a brand new Ipod 5.5G. I am wondering if doing so officially breaks the warranty on the ipod? Can you just un-install rockbox, and then they will never know? I'm going with the ipod because i can just take it to my local apple store for service, but I want to make sure if I remove rockbox, it will still be under warranty.

Has anyone had a situation like this?

It's very easy to remove rockbox and leave no trace - fear not.
