Include bootloader in new builds?

Why isn't the bootloader included in new builds?  I have an H10 20gb.  I haven't updated in a few months, and I had to stumble through the forums to find out there was a new bootloader, and then to the manual to find out where to get it.  This should be easier to find, i think it would be good to include with the distrobution of rockbox you download for your player in the .rockbox folder, since just making a link in the zip to where it should be could overwrite the original firmware, and thats probly something most people dont want!
Failing that, a current bootloader for the device on the downloads page would be a good second! I know it probably doesn't change much between builds, but it would make it that more user friendly for everyone.

Rockbox hasn't been released for any other players than the archos ones yet. If you use unreleased software you need to be aware that there might be some inconvenient steps.

Besides, putting the bootloader in the automated builds doesn't make sense. The bootloader rarely changes. They are released on the download server to make sure you won't get a broken bootloader, which could much more easily happen for the regular downloads. While the h10 isn't one there are players where a broken bootloader can seriously damage your player. For the same reason (changes) the fonts were put into a separate package. We have excellent documentation how to get the bootloader (the manual), how to install it (the manual) and much more (the wiki, forums).

errr, what better way? Better than what?

The latest bootloader is released on the download server (and linked from the manual), and that bootloader is known to work with current builds. I really don't understand your problem -- if you follow the installation instructions from the manual and use the latest release it will work.

Domonoky:

And there is an easy way to get the bootloader and the newest build, use rbutil (its in the wiki) it can install nearly all you need for rockbox with a nice gui :-)
